The Oh-God-I’m-losing-the-love-of-my-life-forever pose.

Equally popular amongst Regency toffs, Victorian manufacturers and Edwardian lawyers.

During the North & South liveblog, the term “Thornton’d” was coined. Definition: 1. To be stalked, or to stalk 2. To walk with the swag of no other.

So, watch out Tilney, there’s a new creeper in town…

Excuse-me.

I love this moment. As always with these two, everything is in the details, how they look at each other, and what’s unspoken. John asks Margaret permission to leave her, and she grants it. He looks so pained to leave her, that sadness in his eyes and on his face …

He shook hands with Margaret. He knew it was the first time their hands had met, though she was perfectly unconscious of the fact.

#SO MUCH HAND PORN. #SO LITTLE TIME. #if you haven’t experienced the wonder of Richard Armitage as Thornton then YOU HAVE NOT YET LIVED.

I cannot tell you how ardently I admire and love this adaptation. And I cannot stay away. The Armitage calls to me.

It’s because he completely cared about the role, loved the book, did all this research on cotton mills, and therefore owned it and me.

The Firth is a god among Darcys but you just KNOW when they actually love what they’re doing.
